When using the Command Line Render (CLR) we recommend using one of the 2 license server options.
However, you can also use a single Cinema 4D license with one instance of the CLR.
If you do that using an account made with a federated ID provider (Google/Facebook/Apple), please be aware that they need a web page each time you log in, also if you want to activate a new instance.
This won't work directly with the CLR, as by its nature it doesn't have UI.
There is a workaround though if you follow these steps:
1. You have to log in to Cinema 4D directly on this machine, so a proper user folder ("preferences") for Cinema 4D is created.
2. Open this user folder and close Cinema 4D:
"[HDD]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\MAXON\Cinema 4D R2x_[*******]"
3. Copy the entire contents of this folder from Cinema 4D to the folder of the Commandline:
"[HDD]:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\MAXON\Cinema 4D R2x_[*******]_x"
(the "*" should be the same checksum in both folders)
4. Restart the Commandline and it should work properly.
Or you can sever the connection to your Google/Facebook/Apple account using the information in the article here - How can move from Google/Facebook/Apple login to native my.Maxon?
