Red Giant Render Only

Please Note: Red Giant Render Only licenses will only work in AE Render and for the following versions:

• Magic Bullet Suite 16 and greater
• Trapcode Suite 18 and greater
• Universe 6 and greater
• VFX Suite 3 and greater

If you would like to render any versions prior to that, you may utilize a Red Giant Complete or Maxon One license. 
 

1. Setting up project for Render Only:

Setting up the render only export is done in AE.

• Once your comp is ready for export send it to the render Queue
• In the render Queue set up the name/location of the export file.  set the footage output settings you want etc.  Basically get it ready to click render.
• Now Save your project once more and quit After Effects!  

You will use this project file in the export step later, keep the file name and location close.
 

2. Activating your Render Only license:

Logging in:

• Launch the Maxon App and log into the account with the Render Only license available

3. Run the render Only Export:

Running the render only export is done in the After Effects Render Engine Command line tool.

• Open Terminal and enter the text below so you can run the AE Render Engine Command Line tool:
  Mac:cd /Applications/Adobe\ After\ Effects\ 2024
  Win:cd c:\Program Files\Adobe After Effects 2024
   
• Run command to render specific Composition: 
  aerender -project [Path_To_Project] -comp "Composition_Name" -output [Path_To_File_Output_With_File_Extension]
   
  Run to render entire project:
  aerender -project [Filepath_To_Project]
