If you're having trouble logging into the Maxon App while using a proxy, there's an important thing to check.
Windows has two separate network configurations—one for regular apps and one for background services. For the Maxon App to work correctly with a proxy, both need to be set up:
WinINet
is used by the Maxon App interfaceWinHTTP
is used by background services like the Red Giant Service
Even if the Maxon App interface works, login issues can happen if WinHTTP
is not properly configured.
We recommend using the netsh
tool to set the WinHTTP
proxy. Microsoft has instructions here:
Netsh.exe commands for WinHTTP
Ultimately, proxy settings need to be configured for both WinINet
and WinHTTP
on Windows devices.
