- Redshift GPU will also be available, but requires a Redshift subscription, sold separately.
Perpetual ZBrush Users
There are three paths by which you can upgrade to ZBrush 2023:
1. Purchase a perpetual license upgrade for approximately $659 per local currency. This will include the new ZBrush features but will not include Redshift. However, you can subscribe to Redshift separately.
2. Purchase a ZBrush subscription. For the first three months after the release of ZBrush 2023, annual subscriptions will be available at a discounted price of approximately 25% off for the first year (renewing at regular price thereafter). This will give you ZBrush 2023, with Redshift CPU. To use Redshift GPU, you would additionally need to purchase a Redshift subscription.
3. Purchase a Maxon One subscription for approximately the same price as a perpetual upgrade—this is about 45% off for the first year (renewing at the regular price thereafter). This will provide the entire Maxon One lineup and so will include Redshift GPU and CPU in ZBrush.

How do I get the discounted pricing?
To receive discounted pricing on a ZBrush or Maxon One annual subscription as explained in points 2 or 3 above, please contact Maxon directly or an authorized reseller.
Can I stay with ZBrush 2022?
Yes. You do not have to upgrade to ZBrush 2023. Your existing perpetual license grants you perpetual use of ZBrush 2022.
Can I use Redshift without upgrading to ZBrush 2023?
No. Redshift in ZBrush is a ZBrush 2023 feature and therefore will only work with ZBrush 2023 and no earlier ZBrush versions.
Can I upgrade to ZBrush 2023 when it releases, and add Redshift later?
Yes. All that will be necessary to add Redshift to a ZBrush 2023 perpetual license is to purchase the Redshift subscription, which will include Redshift GPU and CPU.
If I get the annual Maxon One subscription, will it renew at that price as well?
No, the discounted price only applies to the first year of the subscription.
ZBrushCore and ZBrushCoreMini Licenses
ZBrushCore 2021 is the only available product. ZBrush 2022 or 2023 features such as Redshift rendering will be available only when a ZBrushCore upgrade is released.
ZBrushCore Subscriptions
ZBrushCore subscribers can switch to ZBrush at any time. Simply cancel your current subscription through My.Maxon.net and then purchase a ZBrush or Maxon One license through the Maxon Shop.
Redshift in ZBrush will be based on your choice of subscription:
- Maxon One subscriptions will include Redshift GPU and CPU.
- ZBrush subscriptions will include Redshift CPU.
- To also have Redshift GPU you will also need a Redshift subscription.
- ZBrush Perpetual licenses will not include Redshift unless you also purchase a Redshift subscription (which will then give you Redshift GPU and CPU).
ZBrushCore Perpetual Licenses
Users with legacy ZBrushCore perpetual licenses have three options:
- Purchase a Maxon One subscription at regular price. This will include Redshift CPU and GPU.
- Purchase a ZBrush subscription at regular price. This will include only Redshift CPU unless you also purchase a Redshift subscription.
- Purchase a ZBrush perpetual license for $795. This will not include Redshift unless you also purchase a Redshift subscription (which would give you both Redshift CPU and GPU).
ZBrushCore Mini
Users of ZBrushCore Mini have the same options as ZBrushCore subscribers. See above.
