If Resolve isn't loading your Universe plugins, there are two initial steps that can be taken to address this concern:
-
Make sure the plug-ins are enabled:
- Open Resolve
- Head to DaVinci Resolve > Preferences > Video Plugins
- Ensure that the missing plug-ins are checked
-
Delete Resolve's OFXPluginCache file:
- Close Resolve (and any other intensive programs).
- Head to Resolve's plugin cache file location
-
For Mac
- Open a Finder window
- Select Go > Go to Folder...
- Type or paste in: ~/Library/Application Support/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/
-
For Windows
- Open a File Explorer window
- Head to C:\Users\YOUR USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\Support\
-
For Mac
- Delete the OFXPluginCache.xml and/or OFXPluginCache2.xml file at this location
- Empty your Trash or Recycle Bin
- Relaunch Resolve
If both steps don't resolve the issue, open a support ticket with us and we can assist you further. You can open a support ticket here. For the fastest support possible, please include the version of Resolve that you are using and a system spec file from your device:
-
For Mac:
Head into the Apple menu in the top left of your screen and select About This Mac. (Note that if you are running MacOS 13 or later, you will also need to click More Info in the menu that appears.) After that, select System Report. Then hit Cmd + S (or File > Save) and attach the .spx file it creates to your inquiry.
-
For Windows:
Head into the Windows Start menu and type dxdiag. Then click the DirectX Diagnostic Tool that comes up (if prompted to check if your drivers are digitally signed, click Yes); within that window, click the Save All Information button and attach the .txt file to your inquiry.
