Why is CV-PlaneSmart in Cinema 4D 2024 (and newer) not working correctly?

Some Cineversity plugins, including CV-PlaneSmart, are still being updated for compatibility with the latest Cinema 4D releases.

Workaround

You can use Cinema 4D 2023.2.2 with CV-PlaneSmart, where it should work as expected:

Notes

• You can have multiple versions of Cinema 4D installed on the same system without conflict.
• To work with CV-PlaneSmart in 2024:
  1. Open your project in Cinema 4D 2023.2.2 and use CV-PlaneSmart.
  2. Before saving, make the CV-PlaneSmart object editable.
  3. Save the project.
  4. Open the saved file in Cinema 4D 2024.
