Why doesn't double-click work in Cinema 4D on Windows with Samsung Displays using "Easy Setting Box"?

Symptom

Double‑click stops working inside Cinema 4D on Windows (most commonly Windows 10/11).

Cause

Third‑party window management utilities can intercept mouse events. A known culprit is Samsung’s Easy Setting Box, which arranges windows in grids and may block double‑clicks in some apps, including Cinema 4D.

Fix

  1. Quit or disable Easy Setting Box
    • Exit the app from the system tray.
    • Disable it in Task Manager → Startup apps so it doesn’t relaunch.
  2. Update to the latest version
    • Install the most recent Easy Setting Box release from Samsung; some versions resolve input issues.
  3. Reboot and test Cinema 4D
    • Restart Windows and verify double‑click works again in Cinema 4D.

Notes

  • Similar behavior can occur with other window‑tiling tools. If the issue persists, temporarily quit other utilities (e.g., FancyZones/PowerToys, DisplayFusion) and retest.
  • If none of the above helps, please contact support and include a list of running background utilities.
