What’s happening:
When you install and run Redshift for the first time on macOS, it needs to compile shaders in the background, which causes the delay you encounter. Normally, this process only occurs the first time, and subsequent renders should not experience the same delay, even after closing and reopening Cinema 4D.
Problem:
We’ve identified a specific issue affecting only M4 Mac computers where shader compilation occurs every time Cinema 4D is closed and reopened, instead of only the first time.
Workaround:
While we work on a fix for a future update, you can roll back to Redshift 2025.1.1, which does not experience this issue.
