Maxon App Error Logs are created using Create Error Log in its top right menu.

These logs contain an assortment of installation logs, licensing logs, and a bulk of other system information that help provide a jump-start to troubleshooting licensing issues.

Follow the steps below for a more in-depth guide on how to create and send us these log files.

How do I create an Error Log from the Maxon App?

  1. Be signed into the Maxon App. If you are not able to sign into the Maxon App, review these steps instead.
  2. Click your email address in the top right corner
  3. Select Create Error Log...

This creates a file on the Desktop named MaxonErrorReport_, suffixed with the date and time in the YYYY_MM_DD_HH_MM format.

Send this .zip file to Maxon by way of a support ticket for us to review.

How do I create an Error Log from the Maxon App if I can't sign in?

If you're unable to sign into the Maxon App, you can send us log files that might help us troubleshoot whatever is causing the problem.

  1. Close the Maxon App
  2. Head to the Maxon App's Logs folder on your machine
    • Mac
      1. Open a Finder window
      2. Select Go > Go to Folder from the top menu bar
      3. Type or paste in: /library/logs/maxon/
    • Windows
      1. Open a File Explorer window
      2. In the top address bar, type or paste in: C:\ProgramData\Maxon\
  3. Compress the Logs folder into a .zip file

Send your compressed Logs folder to Maxon by way of a support ticket.

These files will not be as robust as an Error Log created from the Maxon App, but still contain a fair amount of information regarding sign in errors.
