Why is simulation playback slow after updating to Cinema 4D 2025.3 (or later)?

With the release of Cinema 4D 2025.3, we've added Liquid simulations, and with that, we've added a "Liquid Collisions" setting in the Collider Tag.

By default, the mode is set to Volume since this will provide the most accurate collisions (see screenshot); however, this setting can potentially slow down simulation playback.

If you find playback to be sluggish, switch the Liquid Collision mode to Surface or Off.
