We’ve made some updates to Cinema 4D’s integration with Laubwerk plants, and we want to ensure you have the most accurate information.

What’s new with Laubwerk in Cinema 4D 2025.3.0?

The Laubwerk Plant Object and the LBW Importer are now a native part of Cinema 4D. Here’s what’s included:
- Plant assets available through the Cinema 4D Asset Browser are now fully procedural.
- You can adjust age and season variations, level of detail, and display/render settings directly within Cinema 4D.

However, it’s important to note that the complete Laubwerk library has not yet been added to the Maxon Capsule library. Only the previously available plants have been updated with new features and variants.

Can I still use my previously purchased Laubwerk assets?

Yes, you can continue to use your existing Laubwerk assets in Cinema 4D 2025.3.0 onwards.

For detailed instructions, refer to these resources in the Cinema 4D Help documentation:

Do I need to adjust any settings to use my old Laubwerk library?

No, in most cases, there’s no need to adjust settings to continue using your existing assets. Some support materials previously mentioned an option in the preferences that points to the Laubwerk Library folder, but this step is unnecessary for most users.

Simply follow the guidance in the LBW Importer help section to ensure smooth usage of your old models.

How do I access my old Laubwerk models?

You can access your own downloads via the link below;

https://www.laubwerk.com/account/

We always recommend downloading and storing a copy of all your files for your records.

If you run into any issues, please double-check the instructions linked above. If problems persist, feel free to contact our support team for assistance.
