Supported UE versions:
- Unreal Engine 5.3 (Supports only Cineware for Unreal - Datasmith)
- Unreal Engine 5.4 (Supports only Cineware for Unreal - Datasmith)
- Unreal Engine 5.5 (Supports Cineware for Unreal - Datasmith and Interchange)
Supported C4D versions: C4D 2025.3
- Previous versions of Cinema 4D may not work as expected with Cineware for Unreal 2025.3, it is recommended to update to Cinema 4D 2025.3
Installer: Cineware for Unreal Engine 2025.3 Installer includes:
- Datasmith 2025.0.16
- Interchange 2025.2.0

Interchange Enhancements
- Automatically detects and splits imported hierarchies into separate skeletons when a character contains multiple, non-rooted meshes (like accessories)
- Added support for time zero bind poses, allowing imports of skeletal meshes with joints that have multiple bind poses
General
- Fixed texture tags on extruded objects
- Expanded error handling and warnings to give you clear logs for import issues
- Improvements to project settings to streamline setup
Interchange Framework
The Interchange framework is a new exchange-framework from Epic Games. Cineware for Unreal Engine has started to implement this framework, giving users much more power in customizing their pipelines while working with Cinema 4D files.
