Most watermarks are resolved by checking over the following variables in this order:

  1. Make sure you have the latest version of the Maxon App, obtained from the top of this page.
  2. Make sure your products are marked as License Assigned, which is shown in the Products tab of the Maxon App

If a license hasn't been assigned, use the Licenses tab to assign one.

  3. Check for a watermark in a brand new project (i.e. not a project you were seeing watermarks on).
This helps check if the watermark you're seeing is just a cached frame (which can be cleared).
    • If there is no watermark on a brand new project: Then you're seeing a cached frame and the frame needs to be re-rendered. Clean out the render cache in the project where you are experiencing watermarks:
      • After Effects: Edit > Purge > Image Cache Memory
      • Premiere Pro: Sequence > Delete Render Files
      • Final Cut Pro X: File > Delete Clip Event Files
      • DaVinci Resolve: Playback > Delete Render Cache > All
    • If there is still a watermark on a brand new project, and the Maxon App has been updated and shows you are in a licensed state, contact us by way of a support ticket to look into this for you.
      1. Create an Error Log use the top-right gear menu of the Maxon App

      2. Attach the Error Log to a Support Ticket and we'll troubleshoot with you from there.
