System Requirements - Windows ARM Known Limitations

Maxon is proud to offer our products on a variety of system types, so you have the freedom to work wherever you feel creative. Our support for WinARM devices like those using Snapdragon XElite processors is extensive, but due in large part to some third-party there are a few known limitations. Below you’ll find an overview of current known limitations on WinARM. 

Cinema 4D

All features are supported, except: 

  • Import support for CAD formats (STEP, SLD, Catia, JT, IGES, DWG)
  • Import support for Sketchup 
  • Motion Tracker 
  • QC GPU driver has several weaknesses and fails with more complex simulations (at least with the Elite gen. 1 hardware) 
  • QC Elite gen. 1 doesn’t have the necessary hardware features to support Redshift Live 

Redshift 

Only CPU rendering is supported (no GPU rendering) 

ZBrush 

All features are supported, except: 

  • Alembic import 
  • Touch support 
  • Pen support 
  • GoZ for Maya 
  • GoZ for 3ds Max 
  • Keyshot Rendering Logitech / 3d Connexion Space Mouse 
  • Substance Connector
  • Some plugins (including those available via maxon.net) 

Red Giant 

Red Giant plugins are supported in WinARM within Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects. 

All features are supported, except: 

  • Primatte Keyer 
  • Shadow 
  • Reflection

Autograph 

Autograph is not yet supported on WinARM
