Even though it would install into Adobe After Effects 2022 or newer, Trapcode Suite 16 was not considered compatible with newer hosts as it would cause crashes. If you encountered this behavior, you may be able to remedy it by going into Composition > Preview and unchecking Cache Frames When Idle, and also go to Preferences > Memory & Performance, then uncheck the Enable Multi-Frame Render box. However if the crashing continued, no workarounds or advisements can be made aside from rolling back to a compatible environment.
