You can install older versions of Red Giant products using a legacy installer in a compatible, legacy environment.

How do I get installers for old Red Giant products?

You can get installers for legacy Red Giant products by contacting support. In your request, provide the operating system you need the installer for (e.g. Mac or Windows) along with the valid serial number(s) associated with your legacy product.

Where can I find my serial numbers?

  • If you purchased directly from Red Giant (redgiant.com), your serials are found at the bottom of the Licenses section of your Maxon account after signing into my.maxon.net with the email used to purchase them from Red Giant.
    • A Maxon account was automatically created your Red Giant account in 2021, and retained all of your purchase history.
    • Use the reset password option to gain access to your Maxon account if you have never used it.
  • If you purchased from a reseller (e.g. B&H Photo, Toolfarm, etc.), you will need to contact your reseller and/or reference whatever purchase information you had received from them. Red Giant and Maxon do not track legacy purchases from 3rd party resellers.

Will my legacy Red Giant software still work?

Legacy Red Giant software still works when used in their supported legacy configurations. This can mean using older host application versions, older hardware versions, and older GPUs.

Use the Legacy & Perpetual Products section in the Knowledge Base for more information on compatibility requirements for Red Giant legacy products.

Legacy Red Giant products are not compatible with the latest versions of Adobe software, Apple Silicon Macs, or the newest versions of macOS or Windows, which have all been released beyond the scope of what legacy products were last engineered to work with.
