PluralEyes entered limited maintenance mode on February 1st, 2023.
Existing users are free to continue using the application, but it will not be updated to work beyond the scope it was last compatible with, including newer host applications.
Why is PluralEyes no longer being developed?
While PluralEyes may have pioneered automatically syncing sound and providing video editors with fast and accurate capabilities when limited other options were available, these capabilities have now become standard in most modern video editing tools.
What can I use instead of PluralEyes?
Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro X, DaVinci Resolve and Avid Media Composer all natively include syncing sound by waveform.
Can I still use PluralEyes?
PluralEyes still works within the scope of host application versions it had last supported. Upgrading host applications or OS versions beyond the scope of its support will not guarantee its continued operation.
Can I still download PluralEyes?
Users can get installers for PluralEyes 2023, PluralEyes 4, PluralEyes 3.5, and PluralEyes 3 by contacting support. Be sure to provide:
- A valid serial.
- Which operating system you need it for.
Older versions of PluralEyes (DualEyes or PluralEyes 2) are no longer available for download.
Will I still have technical support?
Support can assist with retrieving installers and basic usability questions, but support for any workflow issues or assistance in getting setup with incompatible environments (e.g. PluralEyes and Adobe 2024) will not be available.
