Partially Hidden Meshes and Sculptris Pro

Sculptris Pro is not compatible with partially hidden geometry.

When Sculptris Pro mode is enabled, ZBrush dynamically analyzes and modifies the topology of the entire visible mesh with every brush stroke. Because it actively adds and removes polygons on the fly, it requires a fully visible, continuous surface.

If part of the mesh is hidden, Sculptris Pro would be unable to properly maintain edge continuity between the visible and hidden areas. This could result in mismatched topology along the border of the hidden region.

To prevent topology corruption, ZBrush automatically disables Sculptris Pro whenever any portion of the mesh is hidden.

If you wish to use Sculptris Pro, first ensure that all geometry is fully visible by clearing any hidden areas.
