The ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge is a plugin included with ZBrush that allows you to send your ZBrush scene directly to KeyShot for rendering.

When enabled, the Bridge connects ZBrush to KeyShot and transfers your visible scene data with minimal setup required.

To use it:

  1. Load your model in ZBrush.

  2. Go to Render >> External Renderer and enable KeyShot.

  3. Perform a BPR render.

While the External Renderer option is enabled, ZBrush will send the scene to KeyShot instead of rendering it internally. This remains active for the current ZBrush session unless turned off.

The ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge transfers most visible scene elements automatically, including:

  • SubTools

  • PolyPaint

  • Materials

  • Fibers

  • NanoMesh

  • Array Mesh

  • Lighting and camera data

Once inside KeyShot, you can further adjust materials, lighting, environments, and render settings using KeyShot’s interface.

Important

The ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge does not include a KeyShot license. It is only the connection plugin.

A valid KeyShot license is required in order to render using KeyShot. KeyShot is developed and licensed by Luxion and must be purchased separately through Luxion or an authorized reseller.

If KeyShot is not installed or licensed on your system, the Bridge will not function.
