The "Maxon Services Unavailable" error can typically be resolved by using the Repair Service button.
If that fails, try following these suggestions:
- Suggestion 1: Restart your machine. This stops and starts a background process that should be running and may resolve the error.

Suggestion 2: Wipe the Maxon App from your system and attempt a reinstall. This can be done using the uninstall scripts included alongside the Maxon App.
- Be logged in as an administrator. You likely are if you are the only user on the machine.
- Navigate to and run the uninstaller scripts on your machine
- Windows users:
- Open a File Explorer window
- Type or paste in this file path in the top address bar:
C:\Program Files\Maxon\Tools\ - Right-click
uninstall-appmanager.batand select Run as Administrator - Right-click
uninstall-maxon-service.batand select Run as Administrator
- Mac users:
- Open a Finder window
- Head to Go > Go to Folder in the top menu bar
- Type or paste in
/Library/Application Support/Maxon/Tools/and hit Go - Head to Applications > Utilities > Terminal to open a Terminal window
- Drag
uninstall-appmanagerinto the Terminal window and hit Enter - Supply your computer password if prompted and hit Enter
- Drag
uninstall-maxon-serviceinto the Terminal window and hit Enter - Supply your computer password if prompted and hit Enter
- Windows users:
- Re-download and reinstall the Maxon App
