All payments made to Maxon are processed through 2Checkout powered by Verifone, which handles currency exchange rates, taxes, and invoicing.

While Maxon can process eligible refunds and assist with account-related inquiries, Verifone handles all of the more detailed payment-related questions, including VAT refunds, billing addresses, and invoice adjustments.

How do I request a VAT Refund?

Contact 2Checkout's support team directly for requesting VAT refunds.

In your request, provide your Tax/VAT ID and the relevant invoice numbers, along with any additional information that may be relevant (e.g. nonprofit proof, mailing address, etc.).

Once submitted, 2Checkout will then review and handle the process from there.

VAT refund eligibility is entirely determined by 2Checkout's policies and local tax regulations.

Eligible refunds, once processed, will return an updated invoice to your account, and may take upwards of 10 days to finish processing depending your payment provider's policies.

How do I adjust my invoice?

Contact 2Checkout's support team directly to request an invoice adjustment.

Invoice adjustments can include updating your billing address, company name, or missing VAT information.

  1. In your email, outline the requested adjustments (e.g. missing VAT ID, business address change).
  2. Include any supporting documents, such as a current VAT certificate or updated trade registration.
  3. 2Checkout will then respond with a new invoice, or information on why an adjustment can not be made.
