Team Render's Peer-To-Peer Asset Distribution lets render clients share files with each other instead of every client pulling everything from the host.
This setting can occasionally cause issues with how Team Render operates. So it does pay to turn this off as a troubleshooting step if issues do occur.
Turning it off
Change this on the host only, which is the machine that sends the jobs out. It does not appear in the standalone Team Render Client's preferences.
Cinema 4D as the host
- Go to Render > Team Render Machines.
- In the window that opens, choose Machine > Preferences.
- Uncheck Peer-To-Peer Asset Distribution.
- Close Preferences and send the job again.
Team Render Server
- Go to File > Preferences.
- Uncheck Peer-To-Peer Asset Distribution.
- Close Preferences and send the job again.
If only one machine is affected
Use Always Fetch Assets from Server instead. It does the same thing for a single render client, so the rest of your machines keep the faster distribution.
- Open the same Team Render preferences page on the host.
- Leave Peer-To-Peer Asset Distribution enabled.
- Turn on Always Fetch Assets from Server for the machine that cannot reach its peers.
