How do I use Multi-Factor authentication (MFA) with MyMaxon?

To enable MFA, follow these instructions:

  1. Install a 3rd party authenticator app on your smartphone, such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
  2. Go to https://my.maxon.net and sign in. Under your Profile tab you will see Password & MFA. Select Activate MFA and follow the instructions to acquire and input a code.
  3. Next time you sign in, you will be prompted to provide a one-time code along with a password. That code should also be generated with the authenticator app.
  4. MFA can be turned off by visiting MyMaxon Profile > Password & MFA > Deactivate MFA.

Note that MFA is not yet available for authenticating with CLR (Command-line rendering); it is only available in our GUI. If MFA is attempted with CLR, you will see a 400 response in the command line.
